Zeal Kingdom Ruins
Level created in the Unreal Editor for a Vancouver Film School level design assignment. This level was inspired by Chrono Trigger's Kingdom of Zeal, attempting to convey the mixed ambience of floating islands, ruins of an ancient civilization and the process of nature taking over.

Design Goals & Breakdown

Create a map using BSPs that leverages Unreal Tournament's movement dynamics through jump pads, teleporters, platforms, sliding zones and jumpable & runnable walls, suited for 4+ players.

Design multiple routes to chase and escape, opening windows of opportunities that could change the tide of battle. Make use of versatile lines of sight and areas with precise platforming, being a map aimed at highly experienced Unreal Tournament players.

Create a visually appealing level, inspired by Chrono Trigger's Kingdom of Zeal.

Create a 2D layout of a 3D level using Photoshop and implement it using Unreal Engine.
